You don't have to start where all the career change books and blogs tell you to.  We don't need to start with an inventory of your transferable skills.  You HAVE EVERY TRANSFERABLE SKILL. We'll start with a new vision. We'll cover all four phases of teacher career change:

Focus: Target job titles, industries, and organizations to pursue that align with your career vision
Preparation: Create a professional brand and digital presence so employers can envision you in your new role
Pursuit: Implement the job search strategies most effective for teacher career changers

By the end you'll know everything you need to successfully find a new career. Whether you want to stay in education or leave it entirely, there are so many other jobs teachers can do. This will take work on your end. Active participation in weekly group coaching calls. Homework assignments. Digging deep. But you can do it.

I KNOW teachers can take on any other career, and I HOPE YOU KNOW you can take on any other career. But the reality is you'll need to convince others. Career change advice that works for others has pitfalls for teachers. I know because I've been there. I changed from business to teaching and back to business. That's why this program is different than other career change program, advice, coaching, or information you'll find. You'll learn why rephrasing your transferable skills into business language is only part of what you need to show your prospective employer you can do the job. You'll learn why taking any position that pays the bills just to get out of teaching can raise a big red flag if you jump ship one year later.  You'll learn where to focus your energies and where to streamline your efforts while joining a supportive community of other teacher career changers.

I've been thinking about creating this for so long and I can't ignore that voice in my head anymore! Mostly because I've recently heard the voices of so many other people telling me they want and need this. Or know others who want and need it.  The information out there now implies the jobs teachers can do besides teaching are just that - dead end jobs that don't lead to fulfilling careers. But it's not true. If I can transition out of education (twice), so can you!

I've been having this conversation for years. With other former teachers who have changed careers, with current teachers looking to get out. With other coaches. They've all told me I need to get the message out. This needs to be a class. This needs to be a book. This needs to reach as many teachers as possible!
